During the summer of 2012 at NTNU Trondheim Science Museum, you can experience one of the most spectacular wandering exhibitions. Two thousand years old gold discoveries, that have been hidden away from war and plunder in years to visit Trondheim. In conjunction with this exhibition it has been developed and released a digital catalog with exciting images and text related to these magnificent treasures. The user can navigate through the artifacts from the exhibition, explore the locations where the treasures come from and follow the time line to read and see the context of the entire exhibition.
In addition, you can take a quiz with questions inspired by the content of the exhibition to see what you have learned, or play puzzles with pictures of artifacts. In Ai Khanum archaeologists found a great Greek city. In Begram it have been found thousands of coins and two rooms which were sealed in two thousand years. In Tillya Tepe royal tombs of a nomadic family was found along with over 20,000 items of gold, silver and ivory. Nearly two thousand years separate the oldest from the youngest artifacts in the exhibition, which contains unique gold treasures, ivory carving, glass figure and bronze statuettes.
In Norway, Trondheim is the only place where the exhibition takes place. It can be seen there between May 10th and September 2nd 2012. The exhibition has been previously shown in for example New York, Washington, Paris, Bonn and London
